New conservatory roof in Rawcliffe, Preston

Four Seasons Roof Systems recently undertook a project in Rawcliffe in Preston.

Our clients had a good size conservatory at the back of their house which was 10 meters in length by 5 meters in depth. As you can see from the photographs the roof was made of polycarbonate sheets consisting of 29 individual pieces. To begin with scaffolding was erected around the conservatory to allow for easy access to the roof but at the same time ensuring minimum disruption for our clients. Each polycarbonate sheet was removed and taken away leaving the existing framework in place. A slate skin sheet lining was spread over the framework and timber joists were then fixed in place for the tiles to be fitted to. The tiles were then fitted. You can see the methodical process we followed from the photographs included. The ceiling was fully insulated and then plastered inside.

In addition, our client had experienced ongoing problems with a collapsed box gutter which was continually leaking. We were able to address this by lifting it up and installing two supporting gallows brackets.

Looking at the photographs you can see that the tiled roof perfectly complemented the existing roof on the main building. This is because there are a range of colours available in the slates making it easier to match the new conservatory roof with the original roof of your house. Are you considering replacing your old conservatory roof in Rawcliffe, Preston? If you are then contact Four Seasons Roof Systems. We can advise you on the range of tile options and costs and tailor our services to meet your requirements. You can transform the outside of your conservatory as well as make the inside of it an inviting space that can be used all year round with a new tiled conservatory roof.
