Beautiful New Singe Storey Extension Completed in Cleveleys
There are many reasons to have a single storey extension. It might be in order to add a utility room, home office or larger lounge. On the other hand you might want to create a bigger kitchen or change the configuration of it to make an open plan space. Four Seasons Roof Systems recently completed a single storey extension in Cleveleys at a house in Pheasants Wood. Our clients wanted more living space and the great thing about this extension was that they could achieve this without having to reconfigure the existing layout of the house.
For the single storey extension in Cleveleys we built off the back of the kitchen to create a nice family room. An advantage with this extension was that with two windows at the back, large patio door to the side and two roof lights we were able to introduce a lot of natural light to make it a bright and welcoming space.
We started the process by digging out the area for the foundations and then laying them. We built up the walls, incorporating the framework for the windows and patio doors. The roof was then added.
You will notice from some of the photographs included that we ensured the bricks we used for the extension matched the bricks of the existing house. As a result the extension looked like it was part of the original house, complimenting the external appearance.
Once the external work was completed we were then able to concentrate on the internal fixtures and fittings.
It included a recess in the wall to accommodate a large tv as well as a place for a fire with all the electrics installed to work these. The walls and ceilings were insulated and lined and then plastered. Electrical points and light switches were included. You can see the stunning results from the photographs included. All that’s left is for our clients to choose the interiors they want and put the finishing touches together.
